Complete Foot and Ankle Care for the Whole Family What's the difference between seeking treatment from a podiatrist versus your family doctor versus an orthopedic surgeon? A podiatrist’s training is entirely related to conditions of the foot and ankle. Your family doctor has had very little training dealing specifically with foot & ankle care because they’ve focused instead on general practice. While there are orthopedic surgeons who specialize in foot and ankle care, it will most likely be for surgical purposes. If you needed glasses, you wouldn't go to your family doctor for glasses, right? That's the same way people should feel about seeing a podiatrist, because we have dedicated our entire careers to the health and wellbeing of the lower extremities.

Interactive Element: One thing about Indiana Podiatry Group when we come to a health fair we offer free foot screenings. the doctor examines the foot and gives them a quick idea if they have any problems or concerns. it’s an interactive exam from our podiatrist, it is not an office visit but the patient can find out if they have any foot problems or issue. Then the doctor can point them in the direction with what they should be doing or if they do need an appointment at an office. this is a value of about $125 per foot screening we do this throughout the state of Indiana too many health fairs and companies, we charge nothing for this service. We as well have a lot of printed information so that patients’ / customers can take with them to read and get more information about their foot care problems.
