About Us
Thomas Doohan M.D.
Thomas grew up in New York and since he was very young, he knew that he wanted to be an ER Doctor like his mother. He received a degree in Pre-professional studies and Economics at the University of Notre Dame. He then attended medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. After medical school, Thomas did his internship in Internal Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital and then completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
After working for a year in New York, Thomas and his family moved to Charlotte for a better way of life. For the last 12 years, Thomas has been an Emergency Medicine Doctor. He has served as the System Director for several of the local Charlotte Emergency Departments. In these roles, he has served on many committees in order to improve the quality, service and experience in our local Emergency Departments.
