<p>Practicing orthodontics since 1982, Dr. Joe H. Farrar is considered the premier orthodontist in Hendersonville. He is the only board-certified orthodontist in Brevard. Dr. Farrar &nbsp;graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Denver General Hospital and an Orthodontic Residency at Emory University School of Dentistry.</p><p>Dr. Farrar is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics and maintains memberships with such organizations as the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, North Carolina Association of Orthodontists, Henderson County Dental Society and the Seattle Study Club.</p><p>He remains active in his community with a history of service. Dr. Farrar offers free clinics, and participates in various mission trips, including a dental mission trip to Tanzania and an orthodontic mission trip to Israel.</p><p>He has supported numerous non-profits including the Children and Family Resource Center, The Boys and Girls Club of Henderson County, Four Seasons Hospice, Manna Food Bank, The Rescue Mission, the Community Foundation of Henderson County and the Henderson County Humane Society.</p><p>He was one o the initial contributors to help build the new Youth Theatre at Flat Rock Playhouse. In order to bring symphonic music to the children of Henderson County, Dr. Farrar funded performances by the Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra for all elementary students. He is sponsoring the 2014 spring concert for the Hendersonville Symphony Youth Orchestra.</p><p><img alt="" src="http://www.joesbraces.com/Portals/0/FB_21feb14.jpg">From football players, to baseball teams, cheerleading squads and volleyball players, Dr. Farrar has supported youth sports programs throughout Western North Carolina.</p>&nbsp;<p><img alt="" src="http://www.joesbraces.com/Portals/0/dudley_dog_21feb14.jpg">During his leisure time, he enjoys watching college football, playing golf, sailing and hanging out with his dog, Dudley.</p>
