Does HFC charge vendors?
Posted on Friday November 11 2016
For the most part - NO.
Health Fair Connections (HFC) is nothing like other health fair companies.
Over 80% of vendors will not pay anything to be on Health Fair Connections’ (HFC) platforms -- OR -- to be in your health fair. Most vendors go the free route with a free ad when getting on the interested vendor's list for health fairs.*
We do give vendors the option to where they can pay for a premium ad to be on your interested vendor's list, but few select it. They can also pay a small fee to follow up after attending a health fair to showcase their workshops, lunch’n’learns, screenings, and more that occur outside the health fair. All payment options are different for different types of vendors. For example, we charge a chiropractor a higher price than a yoga studio for a few reasons. Chiropractors aren’t in high demand, there are normally 5-25 for a company to chose for their health fair (larger the metro area, the more chiros), and most chiropractors don’t accept insurance. For Yoga studios - they don’t travel more than 7 miles from their location, they don’t have a large budget, and yoga studios are normally perceived better than most salsey vendors…
Here's an example of the difference between a basic ad and a premium ad:
So, the vendors in highly competitive categories or vendors who just want to stand out can do so by selecting a premium ad. It can be said that these vendors are more trusted, as they've gone through several steps to verify their information.
We are hopefully soon going to offer vendors a subscription on HFC to where some can have a premium profile that allows them to manage reviews, be moved to the top of the vendor list in the vendor directory, have an invite button on their profile (click it and they're in), and showcase any offerings they have. With the subscription, vendors also are able to express premium interest (have premium ads) unlimited times in health fairs. This isn't set in stone, but we wanted to let you know where we're headed.

*As of May 22nd, 2017 - HFC is capping free ads submissions. Each new exhibitor will start off with and be able to submit 14 free ads (that’s a ton, right? :-)) before they cross over into solely being able to select the risk-free, only-pay-if-selected ad options. This applies to all HFC exhibitors, site wide. HFC will not charge your personal contacts and relationships as long as you invite or manually registered them via your HFC dashboard.
