Spotlight: Jill Ferris' (of HUB International) Experience Using HFC
Posted on Monday January 23 2017
Jill Ferris is the Wellness & Training Specialist at RPG Solutions (a division of HUB International) in Raleigh NC. She has 15+ years experience in the benefits arena assisting groups with numerous wellness initiatives. And quite frequently, that involved planning a health fair.
Before finding HFC, Jill had experience planning health fairs on her own or using your typical third-party health fair planning vendor.
We would now consider Jill a power user of HFC, (listing over ten health fairs on the system) and that's a big reason I wanted to chat with her about her experience using the platform...and she was kind enough to oblige.
Hopefully, this interview provides you insight on the benefits of using Health Fair Connections' platform for planning health fairs.
Below are the Q&As from our discussion:
1. Have you seen anything like HFC?
No, but I love it! Everything I need to plan a successful health fair is on my dashboard.
2. What would you call HFC when you describe us?
A health fair planning solution.
3. What would you tell brokers and HR managers that are going about producing health fairs the old fashion way or through a 3rd party that charges a fee?
I would say they should give HFC a try!
HFC is super easy to use, especially if you need to manage multiple events because you can log in at any time and see everything related to your health fairs quickly at a glance.
It is also very easy to invite your team members, the client, and specific vendors and carriers to access the health fair on HFC
One of my favorite features is that my clients and I have full control over the vendors chosen, and we can politely say no thank you to the vendors we are not interested in having participate.
It is very helpful to me to have the ability to search for specific vendors, lunch 'n' learns and workshops that vendors have listed on their profile.
And last but not least, I love the downloadable materials - the event promotion flyer, the vendor place cards and the vendor details sheet (with vendors needs) make it so easy for my clients to execute the logistics.
HFC makes it easy for us!
4. Has HFC reduced work for you?
Absolutely.
5. How has HFC been a game changer / disruptive?
Not sure about disruptive, but in regards to a game changer, I have had a few clients who would like for me to help plan their health fair, but prefer NOT to use a 3rd party health fair company. I can still use HFC as a planning tool and deliver a quality result.
Another game changer is that I am able to view HFC’s entire vendor database and better yet, I can search it via zip code.
This has been extremely useful to me in planning events for my clients with locations out of state.
6. Do you get the same results with HFC as you would doing it on your own?
Same if not better results and less work!
7. When did you turn to HFC?
I have been using the platform for about a year and a half.
8. How do you think HFC can improve?
Most of my previous suggestions have come to life :)
However, when I search for a vendor, I would like to connect directly to them through their profile - even if I'm not planning a health fair
We love the work you do, and the solution you have provided.
