WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Are you aging? Are your parents? We all are! All the time! A healthy diet, regular exercise, mindful living... these are some the elements that lead to aging well. Unfortunately most folks don't even think about the condition of the thing that supports every movement, our skeletal health. The first thing we notice is a change in balance; this results in a change in gait, steps become shorter, a little more timid. Over time, a shuffling may replace a confident stride. Posture, that characteristic that telegraphs confidence and capability to the world, becomes more rounded and over time, even stooped. Once one's posture and balance are compromised, a fall is almost guaranteed, and if one's bones are weak, falls can result in serious fractures. Fractures that can quickly change the plans you have for aging well. Learn how to take care of skeletal health, how to determine your risk factors and what do to now.
