SCREENING DESCRIPTION

In Alpha Health and Wellness we performed Colon Cancer Screening through a fecal occult blood test, which is a lab test used to check stool samples for hidden (occult) blood. If you are age 50 or older and at average risk of colon cancer, a fecal occult blood test is usually recommended every year to screen for colon cancer. When a fecal occult blood test results positive, further testing and observation is usually recommended to determine the bleeding source.
