Computerized Spinal Health Screening
Computerized Spinal Health Screening
A Computerized Scan/Test is used to measure the function of the muscles, joints and nerves in your Neck and Back. Many health problems begin in the spine and this test helps you get objective answers to your health questions.
SCREENING DESCRIPTION
Sandez Family Chiropractic & Wellness Center in Cary is on a mission to educate the public about Spinal Health. Screenings are an invaluable way to promote health among your group by illustrating spinal health issues using a state-of-the-art MyoVision scanning device.
MyoVision is a sEMG – Surface Electromyography. This device measures the amount of electrical activity your muscles release when they are contracting, more commonly known as muscle tension. This specific tension is often due to nerve irritation or pressure along the spine. This test is similar to an EKG which measures heart muscle activity.
The process is simple. The person receiving the scan fills out a short "Stress Survey". The MyoVision Exam only takes about two minutes to perform. Each screened individual will receive an explanation of the results of their sEMG.
Dr. Sandez discusses the findings of the scan in relation to any health issues or symptoms the person has been experiencing. Often times, people are amazed that such a simple exam can visualize their symptoms so accurately.
The MyoVision Exam educates the public by helping them become more aware of potential spinal problems, thereby encouraging them to take action before more serious issues become evident. These preventative measures could cut down on on-the-job injuries, time missed from work/sick leave or absenteeism.
Many employers and employees have loved our screenings done by Dr. Sandez.
If a special request is made in advance, we can also have our Licensed Massage Therapist attend the screening for free chair massages.
